your MIND... but don't forget about your STOMACH !!! All of our venues offer a wide selection of drink and food to accompany intercambios. A minimum consumption, ie: at least one drink is obligatory, as simple courtesy to the establishement's owners...but...in reality... |

CIGALE - Tuesdays 7:30 to 9:30pm |
The venue: A hidden jewel, la Cigale is one of my favourite bars in Barcelona, and to use it for our intercambios is a true priviledge. The attic room has a mix of tables, chairs, sofas and armchairs. It is more like a living room than a bar, extremely cosy. |
The food: La Cigale offers a wide range of foods and drinks...You can order nachos, a salad or a curry. Best home-made brownies in town too! Their drink selection is outstanding with over 30 different cocktails on offer...and "Happy Hour" until 10pm with 2 cocktails for 8euro! |
The
cost:
All our intercambios have an organiser to
meet and greet everyone, an ice-breaker activity and a "change
language" bell. Your
first visit is 2euro, then,
if you liked it and return, we charge the standard price of 4euro
for our intercambios. |

The Venue : On Wednesdays from 8pm-10pm, we often meet in the upstairs room of the emblematic Café de l'Opera. |
The food : The Café de l'Opera serves a wide range of tapas and sandwiches and an equally impressive assortment of drinks, including such treats as "Cafe Suisse" coffee with whipped cream and churros!!!! |

| LANGUAGE-BASED
GAMES:
We get people talking by playing language based games (you try to do it in your target language) such as “truth or myth”, “name 10….” and bilingual pub quizzes. These games are used to help people get to know one another and the rest of the time, people can move around freely to talk with who they wish etc. Basically,
the principle of intercambios but with a higher informality and
social aspect. |
